Strawflower Plants

from $7.50

Minimum 5 plants per variety. Price reflects 5 plants of the variety. Cannot mix varieties.

There aren’t enough great things to say about strawflower. They are best grown in the cool season, but will produce into the warm days. The bug pressure as the temps rise is a problem in North Florida and the results are black dots and discoloration on your flowers. Don’t fret though, you can grown them again in the Fall and Early Spring. They come in yellows, pinks, blush, orange, rust, white, purple, and peach. Strawflower feels like paper and they are wonderful for dried flowers, holding their same color when dried. Strawflower is so fun to grow, and it’s my son’s favorite because he loves to watch the flowers close when the rain starts to hit the flowers!
