When we hear the word Zinnia it exudes happiness, warmth, childhood memories and the first variety of flowers I fell in love with. Zinnias are the perfect flower for our climate. If started at the right time, they flourish. I’d love to offer every variety there is, but I’m sticking to the tried and true varieties for Cut Flowers. We are offering Benary, Queen and Uproar. Zinnias can be transplanted once the danger of frost has passed, and then we plant again every 2-3 weeks until the temps get up into the upper 90’s. Then, we pause and start up again in the fall. Zinnias love full sunshine and being cut regularly.
